Step into MacRitchie : so many fit people!
On the boardwalk : this walk through the forest is quite refreshing and nice smelling, not so bad after all :)
1.5km: uneven gravel road, upslopes, okayy... when is the end of the boardwalk!
2.25km: yay! end of boardwalk, another 2.75km to treetop walk, ok i can do this i think?
4.5km: panting and sweating like a pig, where is the stupid treetop!
Arrive at treetop walk: hoorah! walking slowly, this better be worth it
End of treetop walk: this is it?
7km: somebody lure me with lunch please...
8km: ankles giving way, hurting like mad, someone drag me
9km: where's the light! where's the end! im dying...
10km, back on boardwalk: "ground never felt so flat" - win-nie
So there and there, that was the amazing journey through the forest. Win-nie brought almond biscuits from Marks and Spencer, wah it's the best man, and it kept me going haha On the whole, im glad i went cos it was better than i imagined, despite the physical discomfort haha but it's a great accomplishment and exploring other parts of MacRitchie other than the boring crosscountry route changed my view of it, it is one cool reservoir. The weather was really good, cloudy and cool and God held the rain for us all the way till we stepped out of MacRitchie, thank You God!
The group people, at the treetop, finally!
Win-nie and Sawah doos!
Nice quote on the ground. "The butterfly flitting from flower to flower ever remains mine. I lose the one that is netted by me."
The fleeting father fleeted back to foreign land this night. Pandan cake was brought along to the grandfather's house this day. Turns out to be a great hit among the young and old. It's not a pandan cake actually, but kueh ampong pandan flavour, through the enlightenment of the relatives. For once, the daughter is happy with the contribution.
