Wavehooper

Hung out with my family today, finally ate Din Tai Fung which has been talked about like forever. Hmm, wasn't that great, felt the xiao long baos are the same standard as Crystal Jade's. I mistakenly ordered tang hoon, which slid itself down my throat many times because it is so slippery and rubbery, i almost choked each time. I'm gonna stay away from tang hoon.

After dinosaur years, we finally passed the FIRST month baby gifts to my sis in law, for her niece, who is already in her SIXTH month now. When will i get to see the cute lil baby?!? *exasperation, i have waited for sixth months! The closest i got was seeing her photos, which sadly she inherited her father's receding hairline, the long patch in the middle and baldness at the sides.

Then, I finally managed to ask my brother the burning question, "Can i get a digicam which costs blah blah blah.............?" But after much contemplation, he felt it wasn't a good idea to. Oh well then, i will just bring my good old olympus for the trip, it's good enough.

Just a few days ag
o, it suddenly hit me that i have not been spending much time with my family. All this while i have been thinking of how to meet up with my friends as much as possible before i troop off, but i have not been thinking of how i can spend time with my fam. I am very glad we went out today, which was initiated by me! haha after Staceydear and i felt guilty about our mums. So i will fork out more nights for home and hopefully them, not the tv or cow chair.

Yesterday, me Jayne and Joanna had a sleepover at Joanna's house, it is our birthday tradition. Anyways we planned to cook a three course meal - prawn and mango salad, mushroom pasta, onion rings and fudge brownie with rasberry ripple ice cream. Even though i am five whooping years older than them, i am sad to say that i have more than five whooping years less experience! At a mere fifteen years of age, these girls managed to cut a MANGO, take out the SHIT of the prawn, melt the baking chocolate and bake the brownies while yours truly only cut the cherry tomatoes, mushrooms and tear the lettuce, how pathetic haha i am very guilty of that.
The dinner turned out very well! Although we were fellowshipping with the tv instead of ourselves, darn. But it was good homemade food, especially the dessert - brownie with ice cream wooohoooo~ I slouched on a sofa like a potato, while Jayne and Joanna stood up for about twenty minutes because they didn't want to get tummies. Then Joanna (being already so FIT) got up, took a hula hoop and started wavehooping for well i think about.....ONE HOUR?! My butt was stuck to the couch the whole time. Then i got up and tried to imitate her, but being stiff plus lacking butt legs coordiation, i couldn't wavehoop more than three rounds. Ahhhhhhh more demoralization haha. These girls can whip up a meal and wavehoop like a pro, what was i doing at fifteen?!

Eleven days to Thailand!
