Yesterday me jin ade mj went down town to see Rayner's FYP and all the other students' exhibited at NLB. I am already a fan of rayner's photos, especially the ones involving food hahah he can seriously make me want to dig into a picture of a hawker centre dish anytime. I also made a new discovery; he has a fetish of taking pics of old men haha I really like his camera perspective, whatever you call it. Especially the 2 particular pics of one old man taken from different angles tell different stories. Maybe i should hire him to take my wedding photos hahaha. and ade to build my house wow i only lack a tailoring friend hehe.
There were interior design, fashion design, product design, film etc. It was entertaining, the students' works were very good. I enjoyed the fashion design and film section the most, especially when we revealed how layman we were, analysing whether one particular shirt was a bag or the other haha i always seem to be mistaking bags and shirts these days.
The films were VERY well done, at least the 2 i watched were. The first was titled "Rosie"; about a girl trying to find the "road to eternal bliss", a line she heard from the priest when she was a child but never did understand. I really like the whole mood of the film, a very french film feeling (haha sounds like a tongue twister trying to read those 3 words) with the girl wearing doll like clothes and a hat, but not overdone and the music being so dreamy yet piercing with the singer's crisp voice. The other film is called "White lie"; about this homosexual working part time as a male prosititute in order to earn an income. The storyline was strong and the actors' put up a commendable performance, without any unnaturalness in their portrayal - which jinny was made very uneasy haha.
Me and Jin had our dinner at Miss Clarity's Cafe, it's just across NLB. The main course was GOOD; breast meat chicken with ham and cheese inside, matched with a very unique sauce, that's all i can describe for we couldn't figure out what it was made of, but the colour reminded me of crab meat. The whole set meal, including soup/salad, drink, dessert only cost 8.80! No EXTRA charge!! WOW. Yes go try it, it's at Purvis street.
We settled there till quite late, talking. Cheer up girl, keep breathing and don't let this get you down, only a few more weeks to go, quick as wind! Fight on, press on!! Thanks for listening to my woes as and when too!!
Walking a dog is good exercise. That day i went over Diana's house and visited MARVIS! Ahh! We walked 2 rounds around her neighbourhood with marvis which for your information weighs 5 kg! He's really small you know, i wonder he stores all that weight. Walking a dog trains your arms, concentration and maternal instincts. It makes me wanna laugh when i am caught in a dilemma of pronouncing marvis as smart or stupid. Diana told me to pretend like we were playing happily with his ball. Initially he was in his cage happily ignoring us, but when he heard our laughter, he immediately came out barking at us like a mad dog, like we were not allowed to play happily with HIS ball WITHOUT him. At the verge of thinking he's so smart to have humanly instincts, his inability to smell/recognise his own home and willingess to depart from his owner of 5 years and follow me home makes me stop short of that statement. Or maybe it's a sign of his repressed desires and plans to escape, diana is indeed abusing marvis in many subtle ways haha
