Haven't been online for a while.. Just haven't been feeling positive about the virtual world lately, just a mixed of turned off feelings towards it i don't know why.
It's ironic, proving Jinny's theory of opposites haha: when in exams, i craved to stay online, but now when it's over, i don't feel like touching it.
Anyways..
Met up with Yeli on mon, my last day of exams. Shopped around Chinatown and i felt so touristy. We started talking to each other in different funny accents haha. The trip was fun, laughing at yeli embarrassing herself, eating the famous ahbawling, irritating each other, making stupid sounds, scaring each other, imitating each other. haha yeahh it was fun.
Met up with Jin, Sy, Ade yesterday at PS. Ate at pizzahut, and i commented that the menu was in a new white florescent file, in such an amazed tone, and jin stared at me in amazement saying they changed it to this donkey years ago! haha thinking about it, ya the last time i ate at pizzahut was probably with ham and hiti when they still had the student lunch buffet, ok that's really ancient haha
Realised the four of us have not met together, as one clique since my birthday 2 months ago! Sy updated me with some of her funny happenings and she has adopted a train of funny sounds haha, ade looked blissful as usual, and she always says i make it sound like she's getting married everytime i say that haha, and jin was the usual storyteller which failed to keep to her time limit haha but at least she's an entertaining one, very. Great company, great conversation going, with a few stunned and lost moments haha. On top of that, jin made me laugh till i was gasping hard for air, uncountable times! HAHA ade and sy's blur looks, conflicting and synonymous views made my head spin when i laughed, i thought i was going to have a broken body haha
After which we watched "Just like heaven", and jinny.........HAHAHA she's really a tearjerker!! At the end of the show, i suddenly heared her sobbing and drying her tears, i was like "what?! jinny are u crying?!!", and she said she had been crying since the start of the show! hahaha i thought i was gonna get spasms from laughing. i mean the show didn't even make a single drop of tear well up in my eyes, not even once! haha but well, she is the sentimental romantic. haha many "romantic" scenes which i thought was cheesy, she was grabbing my arms and tugging hard at it haha ade and me thought the movie was ok only. It was rather cliched and forgettable, although at Strabucks later, i kept reciting lines from the movie hahha it must be too cliched that's why. Overall the outing was "righteous" HAHA
Going off to meet Grace, Diana, Stacey in a while for high tea at Marriot! I feel so blessed, to be among all those glorious food we can gorge ourselves with! Hehe thanks to diana who has vouchers, stacey was so touched she picked us haha! me too!
Lastly how could i not mention wei xiong's commendable deed. haha for jin and sy who has heard it once, and ade twice, yes im going to give him recognition again haha he went to US for army training and came back on mon. Besides the sweet part of sending my sis flowers and all, the best part is he bought me a.....DISCMAN! I'm so touched! I thought he would just get me a small souvenir from there. This is way way beyond my expectations. im so touched! To spend such a sum on his gf's sis is out of the norm, more than just a convenience. AND the thing is i have been wanting a discman, maybe he remembered cos maybe my sis complained to him about me hijacking her discman, or maybe he didn't remember and it's just a coincidence. I told him he gained a 100 brownie points haha to sum up whatever i feel, here's a quote from "Real Simple" (magazine haha) :
"But it is the acts of unexpected generosity, not presents of "things", that take my breath away."
Other nice quotes from the magazine haha:
"Men are slower to recognize blessings than misfortunes."
-- Titus Livius (LIVY), HISTORIES
"I know there is a blessed shore,
Opening its ports for me and mine;
And, gazing Time's wide waters o'er,
I weary for that land divine,
Where we were born, where you and I
Shall meet our dearest, when we die."
