just watched 'he's just not that into you' with jinny!
it's not bad! it's definitely better than love actually (which i think is hugely overrated), which is of a similar kind where it's a series of different love stories.
i think drew barrymore is veryy pretty. she's a different kind of pretty, the carefree, cute, down to earth, comfortable kind of pretty. and i really love her dressing in her recent movies.
imissedjinny(: i love discussing movies with her! we can analyse non stop and totally understand each other's point of view. even when we smsed each other on our way home, we were still analysing! haha although separately.
i'm reading a book called 'changing planes' by ursula le guin.
it's an interesting book, on armchair travel,
where she writes about ficticious places she travels to.
but it's not just whims and fancies, because there's a parallel to those imaginary places and places in the real world. so it's quite deep, you have to think to understand her social ideas.
one of my favourite stories is this place with genetic engineering gone wrong, so the person that she meets used to be a corn hahaha. which reminds me of what hanmin said, that we have the closest dna (or some other scientific term) with corn.
another of my favourite is where the people do not speak at all, but communicate with gestures and expresssions. yay to no small talk!!
and another is about how love is expressed through the courtship dance. it's very sweet.
