This was it, seven months ago.
and this is it now ..
It grew a skinny long pinkie, that scared the hell out of me!
Actually I didn't remember how it looked like seven months ago, I thought it had five toes all along and its pinkie shriveled to a sad looking thing. But when i saw the photo i took of it when i first brought it home, the revelation hit me. But sadly, comparing the two photos, i am ashamed to admit that its evident that the chubby bubbly healthy form has grown into an out of shape stubby blob that looks like it has aged a hundred years. haa but it's still my precious Cactus, chubby or pathetic, i will work hard to nurse it back to the pink of health!
This is the basket that Weixiong rented when he and his aunties and uncles brought the dowry and gifts over. So traditional looking, nice! See the packet drink at the side? the flavour is called 'Secrets of the Valley' and another is 'Whispers of the Summer', so drama right haa. and one night, my sister called over to me, 'bring me the whispers of the summer!', sounds like we are in some Sound of the Music scene. and she burst out laughing right after she said it. hehe.
