Perhaps a willow tree

Yesterday on my way to meet Ham and Hiti, i ran for the train heading towards Ang Mo Kio, cos if anyone has noticed the next train heading towards Marina Bay is more often than not at least 7 precious minutes away, so i ran the escalator, and i remember thinking to myself, i think i can increase the speed at which my legs are moving, and just then i tripped and hit my knee, ouch with a red face. Oh but thank God, i caught the train or it would have been a redder and apologetic face contorted in pain. hah. Thank God too! that i didn't trip and fall flat on my face or roll down the escalator. Many times He prevents worse things from happening to us, just that we did not realised it. And so, we met and went bishan park with the intention to cycle, which of no logical reason, the shop wasn't opened. Even though i was (rather) disappointed, we strolled around the park and talked about some stuff. Maybe it was a good thing as well cos my knee hurts a bit when i climb a stair which is similar to the position which i would pedal a bicycle. Then i rode the bus to school, and queued quite a while at Grinning Gecko. At the brink of ordering my food, i thought let me take out my wallet first. and i couldn't find it! i rummaged through my bag frantically. A hungry woman is an angry woman. But thank God! He saved me from the embarrassment of ordering my food and realising i didn't have any money to pay. So yesterday was a strange day.
I woke up today with an aching wrist. It's one of those strange things that you wake up having for no reason, haha.

Ham and Hiti were talking about self fulfilling prophecy.
This reminded me of the verse in proverbs 23:7 'For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he'. There are so many truths in the Bible, that are present before modern day thinkers coin it. This also reminded me of another verse in Jeremiah 17:9 'The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it?'. The heart is deceitful, often only telling us part of the truth, which makes it a total lie. And just like who we think we are may not be the truth because the heart is deceitful, more deceitful than what others may tell us, and eventually what our hearts choose to believe in determines how we act. The heart's a scary thing, yeah. Since the heart, which is what we trust most of the time is deceitful, the only thing that we can trust and won't deceive us, is the word of God.
During cell group, Albert brought up the point on how Christians will be criticised by people, but he said we do not need others to determine what kind of Christian we are and who we are as a person, this is not pride, but simply because we believe that only God determines who we are in Him.

psalm 139:15-17
You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion,
as I was woven together in the dark of the womb.
You saw me before I was born.
Every day of my life was recorded in your book.
Every moment was laid out
before a single day had passed.

How precious are your thoughts about me, O God.
They cannot be numbered!
