Four oranges in case

happy third day of new year everybody :)

Every year, my house is the most un-festive house i know of. This year it broke its record by having noooo new year goodies at all, no not even a box of cashew nuts, zilch. i don't ask for much, just pineapple tarts and bak kwa. but the mother would roarr if she found any that was bought. haha. okay, but there are mandarin oranges still, or at least.
I think this year's chinese new year its at the lowest of the its low key. The things we do are the same, but each year it feels less and less like celebrating a new year, but has dwindled to a sort of, patronizing. haha.
My relatives and my family contribute to the ageing population. There are no lil kids to let us focus our attention on and make us go awww. I'm the youngest, and im no longer a kid.
Yesterday, was quite fun visiting li ting, desmond and derek's home. li ting said in Malaysia they have 10 days of holiday and in China they have 30 days! so gooood. Singaporeans have no notion of rest and celebration, even while celebrating, work is always nudging. While we were heading home yesterday, He Fang this China friend said it's so good that we are heading home home, while he can only head back to his hostel. yeah, it's quite a blessing we don't think about.
