asher's first time with sparklers. he pronounces the word with such clear diction: spar-k-lers; it makes you melt with cuteness. he was very high on the sparklers. on a side note, he called me 'sarah' a few times.
sparklers remind me of the band. three years on.
i like how one reviewer puts it - slight but affecting.
it portrays the essence of youth: that uncertainty, the inability to put things into words, the angst. things which age, unfortunately, does not completely free you from.
though a tad too slow at times (makes me feel constipated!) plus an uncomfortable twist, i generally felt that the film dealt with the coming of age delicately well.
