where art thou cobbler.
cobblers, are one of the most elusive people. they are randomly sighted because they reside in a random void deck, causing one to fail in memory on their exact whereabouts when needed. it is frustrating; it is the epitome of looking for a needle in a haystack.
i walked in the hot sun today, carrying two pairs of shoes, trying to follow fiona's directions, of a vague path to a random void deck. i searched high and low, but, no, no cobbler in sight. many possible suspects (old men) along the way, but none fit the bill.
which brings me to my next topic, shoes. as mentioned, i carried two pairs of shoes, but in actual fact i had three pairs that require some professional attention, after countless times of unprofessional (done by me) help. so, why was i so adamant about repairing them, after all shoes do not cost a bomb these days. because, according to ham's theory, finding a good pair of shoes is like finding a good husband.
so, is there the one?
in my whole lifetime, i have only had three pairs of shoes that made me feel like i could go to the ends of the world in them. and point to note, only the green one did not cause a single blister, the white one took a few days of adjustment, and the black one was shoved into storage for years only to be uncovered recently, which then attained a new level of comfort.
so at the end of the day, where art thou cobbler of the ang mo kio - chengsan town?
somebody please enlighten me on his whereabouts.
