my ears are spoilt

morning saw the children stream in, in pink flowery dresses and my favourite lil one in a green striped t shirt and multi-coloured striped tights. i absolutely adore that cute gym-pyjamas outfit. the difference in fashion convenience (gender inequality) is evident in the earliest of years. the girls were in elaborate dresses with ribbons, lace, buttons here there everywhere. but the boys, just t shirt and berms. the most, a buttoned down shirt. while the girls had to worry about their ribbons being undone and lace drifting out of place, the boys have it at the most comfort and with the least awkwardness.
i am enjoying our conversations, i can say the most imaginary thing and not sound stupid.
but conversing with them forces me to think logically too. a process i am not naturally inclined to. because often, they need a reason for everything.

two days ago, i messaged zeh at eight am:
'i think an insect flew into my ear!! What should i do???'
(which i am not kidding. the most disgusting and horrifying realisation)
she replied:
'Wat. Go see doc lor'
her replies are always this candid and matter of fact. it makes me want to laugh and throttle her at the same time.
today i asked if she has gotten well, her reply:
'Yrsterday night i coughing n cannot sleep at all. Woke up at 12. But feel better'
after days of doing something (for ham), i am starting to appreciate the sincerity and good humour of inaccurate grammar. but of course, not when you're doing what ham is.

i am playing,
what can wash away our sins
what can make us whole again
nothing but the blood,
nothing but the blood of Jesus.
this saturday.
